คุยกันเจื้อยแจ้ว นานสองนาน แล้วอีลีนก็ถามว่านี่ใครนะ?
เราก็..หยกเองจ้า
เค้าก็ โอ้..หยกหรอ (เค้าคิดว่าเป็นคนอื่นที่เค้ารู้จักน่ะ)
แล้วก็คุยกับดอน พ่อเดวิด
เสียงหนุ่มมาก.. เสียงคล้ายๆเดวิดเลย
แล้วก็ส่งไม้สุดท้ายต่อให้เดวิด
Last night (24th Dec) I called David’s home in Canada
(Used Inter Sim of TrueMove, 1 Baht per Min)
First, Elaine picked up the phone
We have talked for a short while
Then finally, she asked “who is this?”
It’s me Yok!
Oh..Yok!! she said surprisingly (she thought I was someone else)
Then next, Don was on the phone
He sounded so young and just like David
And finally, my David was on the phone
เดวิดได้รับของขวัญจากหยกแล้ว
โดนดุนิดหน่อย เพราะเค้าไม่อยากให้เรา
หมดเงินไปกับค่าของขวัญ กับค่าส่งไปรษณีย์

David just got my x’mas present,
will open it tomorrow morning
And also complained a little bit that
I spent too much on it (with expensive postage)
(well, I admit that the postage is more expensive than a gift! Sorry :( )
เด๋วตอนเย็นเค้าจะไปโบสถ์
แล้วพรุ่งนี้ (25ธค) เค้าจะไปบ้านพี่สาว
ก็ปาร์ตี้คริสมาสแบบครอบครัวๆ
In the evening, he and his family was going to the church
Then tomorrow (25th Dec) they go to Diane’s house (David’s sister)
for a family party.
คุยกันนาน ร่วมครึ่งชั่วโมง
ก็วาง เพราะอีลีนรอโทรศัพท์จากเพื่อนอยู่
(คุยจนไม่มีอะไรจะคุย
ก็ยังไม่อยากวางเลย ซิกซิก..)
We have talked for about half an hour
Then hung up
(Although I have nothing to say,
but I don’t want to hang up sob sob.. )
ของขวัญอันนี้ ลุงเดให้ไว้ตั้งแต่เดือนมิถุนา ตอนเค้ามาทำวิจัย
ให้แล้วบอกว่า ของขวัญวันคริสมาส
สรุปคือต้องรอประมาณ 5-6เดือนถึงจะเปิดได้
This gift I got from David when he was here for his research since June
He said it is a Christmas gift so I have to wait until x’mas to open it
Which means I have to wait for 5-6 months -_-‘
บอกให้รอ เราก็รอ.. (อย่างว่าง่าย 555+)

แล้ววันที่ 25 ธันวาคม ก็มาถึง
ตื่นลืมตา หน้ายังไม่ได้ล้าง ฟันยังไม่ได้แปรง
ก็เปิดการ์ด ที่ได้รับเมื่ออาทิตย์ก่อน มาอ่าน
เป็นการ์ดจากเดวิดแล้วก็ พ่อแม่เค้า
(ก็ได้อิก 20$ )
แล้วก็ได้เวลาเปิดของขวัญที่รอคอย..
Then 25th Dec has come ho ho ho!!
First thing I did when I woke up
(before brushing my teeth!)
was open the cards I got last week
one from David darling,
and another one from his parents
said luckily that David got home safely before the airport had a problem!
(Thanks for 20$!!)
and the last but not least.. la la!
The present!! Yeah yeah!
